WOLCOTT, Colorado — Nearly every kid has the same dream: To be able to fly. Well for those kids, and former kids who are now adults and even grandparents, there's an easy way to get that bird's-eye view: zip-lines.
And the good news for Eagle County residents is that they don't have to travel far to fly.
Zip Adventures, which started giving tours late last summer, is back this year, offering tours out of Wolcott. And as its name suggests, the zips aren't just a straight shot from point-to-point.
Even before you arrive at the first line, you get a feel for the terrain — in a 6-wheel 1976 Austrian Army vehicle. After the tour leaves from 4 Eagle Ranch, where you get geared up, the guides drive you down U.S. Highway 131 then up and around jeep trails as you sit in the back, ready to deploy. Read more.....
Wow. Zip lines in Vail Colorado, what a blast and a great activity here in the Vail Valley. Today we had 5 full tours of guests here at Zip Adventures enjoying our zip line tour high in the Colorado mountains. Give us a call or book your tour now online as we are filling up our tours about 3 days in advance. Reservations are required so we can accommodate all our guests on our 6×6 Pinzgauer Swiss Army troop transporter. The 4Eagle Ranch is a great place to see Western Colorado and have a family fun time. Check out some of our news reports that we have recently posted on our new web site.

"Great fun with my wife and child. He is six and about 50 pounds and we were not sure he would be able to do it. The guides were fun and mostly professional. The zip lining was safe well constructed and great fun. Six stations with each one a bit longer than the last."

What a fabulous afternoon! From the moment we started gearing up, to the ride in the transport vehicle, and then finally the first jump off the platform on Zip-line Alpha....... it was a thrilling experience! This was my second trip through the course and it was just as much fun as the first. From "Mary Poppins" to "the Thriller" to "the Leap of Faith", we were not disappointed! I would highly recommend this experience to even the faint hearted who don't care much for heights (I, alas, must admit to this fear as well)...... but the guides are wonderful, informative and friendly. The scenery is breathtaking and the total experience is unforgettable! I look forward to returning again next year with more friends and introducing them to this "thrilling adventure"!!! Thanks for the fun!

Vail Veterans Program teaches wounded veterans not to let their injuries hold them back

VAIL, Colorado — Every time a new group of veterans arrives in Vail for the Vail Veterans Program, founder Cheryl Jensen says to herself that this is the best group she's ever hosted.
It's easy to see why Jensen feels that way when you meet these service men and women who have sacrificed so much for their country and for our freedom. You can't ignore the sacrifice they've made, as many of these men and women are in wheelchairs or walk around using crutches, wearing prosthetic limbs.
